The Advanced Spinal Mobilization Instrument is the only technology assisted or powered physical therapy tool intended to duplicate the manual spinal mobilization techniques that physical therapists perform with an easy to control and user friendly handset and console.

The device consists of a handset with moving applicator pads that operate in three distinct modes. The pads gently move in and out in an alternating fashion and built-in safety features prevent the pads from overexerting pressure when the handset is placed on the patient's back.

During treatment, the device is passed up and down the spine, gently moving and mobilizing each vertebrae of the spine from the upper to the lower areas of the back. Importantly, the handset will not force a vertebra to move by any predetermined amount as the amount of applied pressure is limited by safety features of the device and the entire treatment is controlled by the therapist. If resistance from the vertebral joints is met by the applicator pads, treatment pressure is reduced automatically.
